Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) said he was “not in favor” of federalizing elections a day after President Trump said that Republicans “ought to nationalize the voting,” NBC News reports.
Said Thune: “I’m not in favor of federalizing elections. That’s a constitutional issue.”
