“President Trump kicked off the second day of the NATO summit in Turkey on Wednesday by blasting European allies as ‘hopeless,’ restating his wish to control Greenland and threatening to cut off trade with countries that had not supported the U.S.-Israel war on Iran,” the New York Times reports.

“Mr. Trump’s remarks before the so-called ‘family photo’ of leaders of the military alliance’s member states cast a pall over a summit critical for NATO’s future.”

Bloomberg: Trump says he’s not happy with NATO about Greenland.

About Political Wire

Taegan Goddard is the founder of Political Wire, one of the earliest and most influential political web sites. He also runs Political Job Hunt, Electoral Vote Map and the Political Dictionary.

Goddard spent more than a decade as managing director and chief operating officer of a prominent investment firm in New York City. Previously, he was a policy adviser to a U.S. Senator and Governor.
