“President Donald Trump reiterated his preference for lower interest rates but acknowledged it is not the central bank chief’s decision alone, taking a much softer tone than the sharp criticisms he threw at Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh’s predecessor,” Bloomberg reports.
Said Trump: “It’s up to him a little bit, but not completely. And he’s got a board that’s very political.”
He added: “It’s not totally up to him. It’s up to a board.”
