Trump’s Cost-of-Living Crunch

Politico Poll: “The cost of living remains the top issue across the board, including a 54 percent majority of Trump voters. But many of those voters are sour over his handling of it — particularly those who backed Trump in 2024 but do not identify as MAGA.”

“A 41 percent plurality of non-MAGA Trump voters said the rising cost of living, including gasoline and energy bills, is one of the main failures of Trump’s second term, while another 28 percent said the economy generally. Just 11 percent of this group says Trump’s handling of the economy — and 14 percent say improving the cost of living — are some of the biggest successes of his presidency.”
