“House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries appeared this morning on ABC’s The View – the most-watched network daytime talk show – to talk about the GOP-drafted legislation, which President Donald Trump signed into law on July 4,” Punchbowl News reports.
“Jeffries is already beginning to talk about next year’s election as a referendum on Trump and Republicans in Congress. Midterm elections are oftentimes about providing a check on the president’s power. And Jeffries is now making that argument explicit.”
“Jeffries also said on The View that every Democratic president for the last several decades worked to ‘expand access to health care.’ Republicans, conversely, would cut people from health care rolls.”
