Herbert Still Raising Campaign Money Despite Pledge

January 14, 2018 · 10:39 am ET · Leave a Comment

“While Utah Gov. Gary Herbert (R) has said he will not seek re-election in 2020, he still raked in nearly $630,000 in political contributions last year,” the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

“Herbert wasn’t just letting money flow in, he actively sought it — including spending at least $158,000 to host his annual fundraising gala, and another $15,500 to stage a fundraising golf event.”
