Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA) recently changed her voter registration to Iowa’s 3rd district, despite still representing and running for reelection in the 1st district, the Quad City Times reports.

Democratic PAC Drops More Cash in Trump Districts

“A super PAC closely tied to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) is pouring money into two Republican-held House districts that former President Trump won in 2020,” Axios reports.

“It’s the latest sign that House Democrats are bullish about their chances of unseating GOP incumbents with Vice President Kamala Harris at the top of the ticket.”

“House Majority PAC is reserving $1.1 million for ads in Iowa’s 1st District, which is held by Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks and voted for Trump by more than 3 percentage points.”

“They are also putting $400,000 into Wisconsin’s 3rd District, which is held by Rep. Derrick Van Orden (R-WI) and went for Trump by 6 points in 2020.”

Congressman Walks Out of Interview

Rep. Rob Blum (R-IA) abruptly ended an interview with KCRG-TV when the interviewer began asking about donations he received from people outside of his district.

Taegan Goddard is the founder of Political Wire, one of the earliest and most influential political web sites. He also runs Political Job Hunt, Electoral Vote Map and the Political Dictionary.

Goddard spent more than a decade as managing director and chief operating officer of a prominent investment firm in New York City. Previously, he was a policy adviser to a U.S. Senator and Governor.

Goddard is also co-author of You Won - Now What? (Scribner, 1998), a political management book hailed by prominent journalists and politicians from both parties. In addition, Goddard's essays on politics and public policy have appeared in dozens of newspapers across the country.

Goddard earned degrees from Vassar College and Harvard University. He lives in New York with his wife and three sons.

Goddard is the owner of Goddard Media LLC.
