Author and activist Marianne Williamson, who is considering a second campaign for president against President Biden, plans to visit New Hampshire in the coming weeks to help her make “a more informed decision” about her political future, the Washington Post reports.
Marianne Williamson Eyes Challenging Biden in Primary
Marianne Williamson, the spiritual activist and 2020 presidential candidate, “has been actively making significant moves toward challenging Biden,” Puck reports.
“This is not an open primary, like in 2020, where Williamson was able to make it onto the debate stage twice because of her fundraising and polling, until the DNC upped the threshold for debate stage access. But it will surely make for some interesting television if she’s somehow able to force the DNC’s hand into actually holding a debate and a primary against a sitting president.”
Williamson Suggests ‘Visualizing’ Hurricane Retreat
Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson offered an unorthodox suggestion for dealing with Hurricane Dorian: using “the power of the mind” to will the storm elsewhere, the Washington Post reports.
In a now-deleted tweet, Williamson, “suggested that visualizing the storm’s retreat could be an effective way to change its course.”
Marianne Williamson Promoted Anti-Vaxxer Theories
“Marianne Williamson once gave a platform to the unfounded theory that vaccines are linked to autism and called on her audience to “be awake” and “do your due diligence” before making the decision to vaccinate their children,” CNN reports.
In a January 2012 episode of her radio show, Williamson said she “agonized” as a mother over the decision to vaccinate her children and that she could see “both sides” of the issue.
Williamson Gets Backing of ‘Occult Task Force’
Some supporters of Marianne Williamson have organized an “occult task force” to help her campaign, the Washington Post reports.
The person organizing the task force said that a group of 13 chaos magicians, witches and energy workers were doing synchronized “gestures” to help their candidate gain more visibility during last night’s Democratic debate.
Extra Bonus Quote of the Day
“I am not a cult leader. I am not anti-science (that one is almost funny, given how much I quote Einstein). And I am not an anti-vaxxer.”

Williamson Not Happy About Being Left Out of Vogue
The Cut: “On Monday, Vogue published a story about the significant number of Democratic women who have tossed their name in the hat to become the next U.S. president. Titled ‘Madam President? Five Candidates on What It Will Take to Shatter the Most Stubborn Glass Ceiling,’ the story was overall commendatory and largely met with praise.”
“There was, however, at least person who seemed deeply unsatisfied with the report: spiritual adviser to Oprah, former roommate of Laura Dern, and the sixth female presidential candidate, Marianne Williamson.”
New Age Author Scouts Presidential Run
“New Age author Marianne Williamson was in Iowa earlier this week meeting with Democratic activists to explore the possibility of a presidential campaign,” the Guardian reports.
“Williamson is a prominent New Age author who has written New York Times best sellers, most recently Tears to Triumph about ‘the spiritual journey from suffering to enlightenment.'”
“Williamson’s interest in a potential presidential bid is a sign of how broad the Democratic field in 2020 might be.”
