Rep. Suhas Subramanyam (D-VA) told CNN that a President Trump accuser “was given a settlement” by Jeffrey Epstein’s estate.
Said Subramanyam: “We did confirm that.”
“A foreign hacker compromised files relating to the FBI’s investigation of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during a break-in at the bureau’s New York Field Office three years ago,” Reuters reports.
“The House Oversight Committee is set to depose Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime accountant on Wednesday, potentially shedding light on how the disgraced financier was able to manage his multimillion-dollar fortune,” ABC News reports.
Washington Post: “The anonymous artists who have targeted President Donald Trump with satirical statues and installations in Washington struck again on the National Mall on Tuesday morning with an enormous statue of the president embracing the deceased convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in a reenactment of a famous scene from the movie ‘Titanic.’”
Fortune looks at how Jeffrey Epstein pulled Bill Gates and Microsoft “into a web of sex, money, and secrets.”
CNN: “The trove of emails and documents released by the Justice Department in January show Epstein maintained connections to a wide swath of famous people — from Elon Musk and Bill Gates to Bill Clinton and Donald Trump.”
“But Epstein’s own inner circle — unlike his social and professional ones — was kept small and relatively anonymous, while they facilitated his day-to-day operations as a mysteriously wealthy financier.”
“Epstein’s lawyer, accountant, assistant, pilot, modeling scout, and ex-girlfriend all worked together behind-the-scenes to manage his schedule and appointments, his businesses, properties and compounds across the globe, and, of course, his money.”
“Jeffrey Epstein ordered a 16-year-old girl to give him a massage while he was on the phone with Donald Trump — moments before sexually assaulting her, an FBI memo newly released by the Justice Department claims,” the Daily Mail reports.
“In an interview with investigators, the teenage alleged victim said Epstein urged her to hurry, saying: ‘Let’s go, let’s go’, before climbing onto a massage table as she got undressed.”
“The release of the Epstein files has rippled through politics, business and academics, revealing secret ties that many prominent people kept with Jeffrey Epstein. After their connections became public, many said they regretted associating with Epstein and some have stepped down from their roles,” the Wall Street Journal reports.
“Here is a list of famous names in the files and those who have resigned or have been arrested.”
“A woman who claims she was abused as a minor by both Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump has given the FBI vivid accounts that include aspects of her life corroborated by the Charleston Post and Courier through public records.”
“The accounts describe an early phase in the mid-1980s of potential criminal conduct by Epstein that involved sexual activities with minors on Hilton Head. The alleged victim told the FBI she was under constant pressure from him to recruit more girls there to ‘come party’ with him and his ‘disgusting’ older friends. The incidents almost always involved drugs and alcohol and turned violent with hair-pulling and beatings.”
“In her account about Trump, she claimed that he forced her to commit a sex act on him sometime around 1984.”
One of Jeffrey Epstein’s prison guards, Tova Noel, Googled Epstein about an hour before his body was found in his cell, People reports.
Noel and Michael Thomas, who was also assigned to guard Epstein, were previously detained and charged with falsifying records about their activities when they were meant to check on Epstein, but the charges were later dropped.
“That Jeffrey Epstein preyed on adolescent girls while socializing with the uber rich is amply confirmed by three-million or so pages of investigative documents released by the Justice Department since December,” the Wall Street Journal reports.
“But did he eat babies? Or disable his victims with exotic drugs and destroy their bodies in vats of acid? For a growing number of online sleuths, there is a booming business in peddling outlandish answers to those and other sordid questions raised by the trove of newly released files.”
“The Federal Drug Enforcement Administration opened an investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and a dozen other individuals in 2015 that centered on allegations of money laundering, drug trafficking and the procurement of Eastern European prostitutes for high-profile clients,” Bloomberg reports.
“It began after an informant told authorities that Epstein was involved in the illicit funding and distribution of so-called club drugs, including ecstasy, ketamine and methamphetamines.”
“None of the individuals were charged with any offenses as a result of the investigation. It’s unclear how long the investigation remained open and what authorities ultimately learned from it because the complete case files have not been released.”
Miami Herald: “In his quest to build out an elite global network and satisfy his insatiable desire to procure women and girls to sexually abuse, Jeffrey Epstein often turned to Russia and its neighboring countries.”
“He built relationships with leading political and business figures from the region, including a top Russian diplomat, a Russian deputy minister and businessmen who built their fortunes in post-Soviet Eurasia, according to millions of pages of records related to the disgraced financier released recently by the U.S. Justice Department.”

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, once a Manhattan neighbor of Jeffrey Epstein, voluntarily agreed to an interview with the House Oversight Committee over past ties to the convicted sex offender, Axios reports.
New York Times: “His palatial 30,000-square-foot New Mexico mansion sits on a ridge overlooking thousands of acres of southwestern land he named Zorro Ranch. A sea of tufted grass, prickly cholla cactus and cracked arroyos, the sparsely populated high desert south of Santa Fe is a land where the nearest neighbors are miles away and most everyone minds their own business.”
“Some of the financier’s victims have said they were trafficked there, famous figures visited, and Mr. Epstein mused about turning Zorro into a headquarters for outlandish genetic engineering experiments.”
“And yet, New Mexico leaders say there has never been a thorough investigation of the criminal activity that may have occurred at the ranch during the 26 years the convicted sex offender owned it.”
Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) told Politico that if he is given the gavel to lead the House Oversight Committee next term, a Democratic majority would “absolutely” pursue an interview with Trump regarding convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
