Burgess Owens (R), who is running for Congress in Utah’s 4th congressional district, reportedly plagiarized numerous passages in one of his books, Why I Stand: From Freedom to the Killing Fields of Socialism, Utah Policy reports.
Owens devotes an entire chapter of his book to smearing civil rights leader Rep. John Lewis (D-GA), who passed away earlier this month.
He is scheduled to speak at the Republican convention on Wednesday night.
