A letter sent by CDC director Robert Redfield attesting to Vice President Mike Pence’s health and proclaiming him safe to debate Wednesday night is sparking outcry from public health experts, the Washington Post reports.
It is highly unusual, and perhaps unprecedented, for the CDC director to release a letter vouching for the health of a top public official.
