FBI Probes Intent of Rioters to Take Hostages

“Investigators are trying to determine whether some who stormed the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday intended to do more than disrupt the certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s victory,” the Washington Post reports.

“Authorities are particularly interested in images of people carrying zip ties, a plastic version of handcuffs, and at least one man was arrested while allegedly carrying a pistol on the Capitol grounds.”
