Former Texas Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst (R) “was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Dallas on a domestic-violence charge,” the Dallas Morning News reports.
“Dewhurst was Texas’ lieutenant governor from 2003 to 2015. He ran for U.S. Senate in 2012 but lost the race for the Republican nomination to Ted Cruz in a runoff.”
