A new PBS NewsHour/NPR/Marist poll found that two-thirds of Americans are against laws that would limit transgender rights.
That opposition includes majorities of every political ideology from liberal to conservative and every age group.
Like they did with same-sex marriage, Americans have moved much faster towards acceptance than most GOP lawmakers.
