House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was caught on a hot mic before a Fox & Friends interview saying he’s “lost confidence” in Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), Axios reports.
Said McCarthy: “I think she’s got real problems. I’ve had it with… I’ve had it with her. You know, I’ve lost confidence… Well, someone just has to bring a motion, but I assume that will probably take place.”
Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) is already seeking support in the caucus to replace Cheney as House Republican Conference chair.
