Congressional Black Caucus Chair Arrested

“The chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus, Representative Joyce Beatty, was arrested on Thursday on Capitol Hill along with eight activists who were demonstrating for voting rights,” the New York Times reports.

“Ms. Beatty and a group of activists were protesting the languishing of the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the For the People Act in Congress.”
