The Republican National Committee’s censure of Reps. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) — which included the statement that the Capitol riot was “legitimate political discourse” — was so over the top that even Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) felt the need to condemn it.
