Democratic Lawmaker Apologizes for Using N-Word

New Hampshire state Rep. Nicole Klein-Knight (D) apologized to a Black activist “from the bottom of my heart” for using the N-word while referring to him after he testified before a House committee last month, the New Hampshire Union Leader reports.

However, the apology came two weeks later and only after she’d already been stripped of committee assignments.
