Western Officials Eye Russian Activity Beyond Ukraine

“Western and US intelligence officials are paying close attention for any signs of potential Russian activity in the western Balkans, according to a source familiar with the intelligence, although so far, they have seen nothing out of the ordinary,” CNN reports.

“The attention hints at lingering Western concerns that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s ambitions could be greater than Ukraine.”
