Baseball Manager Won’t Take Field for National Anthem

San Francisco Giants manager Gabe Kapler said he will not take the field for the national anthem at tonight’s game against the Cincinnati Red or any game “until I feel better about the direction of our country.”

Said Kapler: “I don’t believe it is representing us well right now.”

He added: “Every time I place my hand over my heart and remove my hat, I’m participating in a self congratulatory glorification of the ONLY country where these mass shootings take place.”
