January 6 Committee Will Vote to Subpoena Donald Trump

The January 6th Committee plans to vote to subpoena former President Donald Trump during today’s hearing, NBC News reports.

At the start of the hearing, Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), who chairs the panel, announced that the committee has changed today’s hearing to a business meeting, which is a technical difference but means the committee can vote on investigative actions.

Trump will almost certainly fight the subpoena despite his repeated pleas on social media for “equal time.”
