Santos Spokesperson Resigns

“Naysa Woomer, the communications director for embattled Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.), has resigned,” Scripps News reports.

Said Woomer, in a statement: “With respect for my colleagues, the people of New York, and most importantly, myself, I am honored to tender my resignation.”

She added a comment directed at Santos: “Unfortunately, you never took one point of professional advice given.”

The resignation came after a video showed Woomer rooting for Santos to be expelled because “he’s not a good person.”
