Two Republicans and four Democrats did not respond to the quorum call ahead of the third ballot for Rep. Jim Jordan’s (R-Ohio) speakership bid on Friday, Politico reports.
Jordan would need 214 votes for the majority of those present, though it’s possible some of the absent lawmakers could turn up before the third round vote is over.
