Iran Launches Retaliatory Strikes Against Israel

April 13, 2024 · 5:15 pm ET · Leave a Comment

“Iran launched drones from its territory toward Israel on Saturday, in retaliation for a deadly Israeli airstrike in early April on the Iranian Embassy complex in Damascus, the Israeli and Iranian militaries said,” the New York Times reports.

“Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, the Israeli military spokesman, told reporters in a televised briefing that Israeli forces were tracking the drones, which would take a few hours to arrive.”

“Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps said in a statement broadcast on state television that it had launched missiles as well as drones toward Israel from Iran. Israel did not immediately confirm that missiles had been launched.”
