The House approved a contempt resolution against Attorney General Merrick Garland this afternoon, the third time the chamber has held a sitting attorney general in contempt.
The vote was 216 to 207. No Democrats supported the resolution. One Republican voted against the measure.
This issue will probably end up in federal court as the Justice Department is highly unlikely to prosecute Garland.
