“Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to be the next president of the United States on Monday and seemingly took herself out of potential consideration to be the Democrat’s running mate,” the Detroit News reports.
Said Whitmer: “I am not leaving Michigan. I am proud to be the governor of Michigan. I have been consistent. I know everyone is always suspicious and asking this question over and over again … I am not going anywhere.”
