Speaker Mike Johnson is ruling out a deal with Democrats to keep his speakership next year, Axios reports.
Said Johnson: “I’ve never once spoken to any Democrat about voting for me for Speaker, and I have no intention of doing that now.”

Taegan Goddard is the founder of Political Wire, one of the earliest and most influential political web sites. He also runs Political Job Hunt, Electoral Vote Map and the Political Dictionary.
