“President Claudia Sheinbaum said she had struck a deal to delay Trump administration tariffs, which were set to take effect on Tuesday, for a month after reaching a series of agreements on border security and countering drug trafficking,” the New York Times reports.
“The United States is also expected to work to prevent the trafficking of high-powered weapons into Mexico.”
Trump confirmed on Truth Social that he is pausing tariffs on Mexico for a month after it agreed to send soldiers to the border to stop the flow of drugs and migrants.
