President Donald Trump on Tuesday threatened federal funding for California over its handling of a transgender athlete and said he would speak with its Democratic governor, Gavin Newsom, to “find out which way he wants to go,” the Washington Post reports.

Goddard earned degrees from Vassar College and Harvard University. He lives in New York with his wife and three sons.
