Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) “told reporters he expected every single House Democrat to be at the Capitol to oppose the Senate-passed bill. The House was scheduled to be in recess this week for the 4th of July, but lawmakers are now expected to vote tomorrow on whether to send the sweeping policy bill to President Trump’s desk,” the New York Times reports.
“House Speaker Mike Johnson can only afford to lose three Republicans and still pass the bill, if all Democrats oppose it and all lawmakers are present and voting.”
