Nobel Committee chair Jørgen Watne Frydnes spoke to reporters:

REPORTER: Why didn’t Trump win the Nobel Peace Prize?

FRYDNES: This committee sits in a room filled with the portraits of all laureates. That room is filled with both courage and integrity. We only base our decision on the work and the will of Alfred Nobel.

From our partner:

Same Election. Different Stories.

Election Day brings a flood of political news — and which sources you follow can shape the story you see.

That's why I appreciate what Ground News does. It shows how the same story is covered across the political spectrum — and highlights important stories that one side may be ignoring entirely.

And when the votes are counted and everyone starts debating what they mean, it's a useful way to get a broader view.
