Democratic and Republican senators agreed that top Trump administration officials laid out a detailed plan about what comes next for the U.S. plans to control oil in Venezuela in a classified briefing, but there was a partisan split on whether that plan will work, CNN reports.
Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) had a blunt assessment: “This is an insane plan.”
