“A clear majority of the country disapprove of the job that Trump is doing as president, as reflected in the four January polls that have been released to coincide with the end of his first year in office. These polls are quite consistent in their findings and cannot be dismissed as ‘fake.'”
“On the surface this would suggest that the country should be headed to a ‘blue wave’ election in November. However, politics in America in the age of Trump has realigned in ways that make it much more challenging for Democrats to fully maximize the widespread dissatisfaction that a majority of Americans feel toward Trump and the Republican Congress.”
