“Two lawsuits seek to disqualify cannabis entrepreneur Duke Rodriguez from seeking the Republican nomination for governor, both citing his voter registration in Arizona in recent years as a violation of New Mexico’s residency requirement,” the Santa Fe New Mexican reports.
“The Republicans behind the challenges to Rodriguez’s candidacy expressed concerns in their complaints that if he wins the GOP primary in June before the residency issue is resolved, the Republican Party could be left without a candidate in the general election.”
