Iran on Wednesday threatened further retaliation over an American naval blockade of its ports in the critical Strait of Hormuz as the U.S. military said that it had “completely halted” trade in and out of Iran by sea, the New York Times reports.

Goddard earned degrees from Vassar College and Harvard University. He lives in New York with his wife and three sons.
