Are Republicans Meddling in Democratic Primaries?

May 7, 2026 · 1:27 pm ET · Leave a Comment

Punchbowl News: “A mysterious new super PAC is roiling Democratic contests in crucial battleground seats in Nebraska and Pennsylvania just days before the states hold their primaries.”

“This is a complicated but fascinating development. Plenty of Democrats involved in these races suspect the group is backed by Republicans trying to tip the scales toward their preferred general-election opponent. We can’t prove that yet. But the group, Lead Left PAC, has WinRed, the GOP fundraising platform, in the metadata of its website.“

Same Election. Different Stories.

Election Day brings a flood of political news — and which sources you follow can shape the story you see.

That's why I appreciate what Ground News does. It shows how the same story is covered across the political spectrum — and highlights important stories that one side may be ignoring entirely.

And when the votes are counted and everyone starts debating what they mean, it's a useful way to get a broader view.
