Darline Graham Gets a Crash Course in Politics

July 27, 2026 · 5:26 am ET · Leave a Comment

“In the span of a week, Sen. Darline Graham was sworn into office, co-sponsored her first piece of legislation and made a massive political decision—all before she buried her brother, the late Sen. Lindsey Graham,” the Wall Street Journal reports.

“Darline Graham, who in recent years had run South Carolina’s Commission for the Blind, is getting a crash course in Hill politics, an experience colleagues described as drinking from a fire hose. Appointed to serve out the final months of her brother’s term, she then decided to run for a full six-year term. She faces a competitive primary next month, after President Trump’s endorsement failed to scare away GOP opponents.”

Fox News: Nancy Mace breaks with Trump, questions whether Lindsey Graham’s sister is “qualified” for ballot.
