“Abdul El-Sayed was narrowly leading Haley Stevens in election returns overnight and declared victory in the most-expensive Democratic U.S. Senate primary contest in U.S. history, but the Associated Press still had not called the race as of Wednesday morning,” Detroit News reports.
“El-Sayed declared victory around 7 a.m. Wednesday, saying he was proud to be the state’s Democratic nominee.”
He added: “Let’s win in November.”
Will Abdul El-Sayed beat Mike Rogers in the general election?
