Russell Fry Backs Darline Graham in South Carolina Runoff

August 14, 2026 · 11:29 am ET · Leave a Comment

“At the urging of President Trump, Rep. Russell Fry (R-SC) has endorsed Sen. Darline Graham (R-SC) after losing his bid in the special primary election on Tuesday to succeed her late brother, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC),” the New York Times reports.

“Mr. Fry announced the endorsement on Friday, throwing his weight behind Ms. Graham as she competes in a two-week runoff contest against Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC), a longtime lawmaker and vice chairman of the ultraconservative House Freedom Caucus, in the solidly Republican state.”
