“Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) reassured Democrats that he wouldn’t abandon them if they take back the majority in the fall elections, but the controversy over his surprise video appearance at the GOP midterm convention continued to fuel uncertainty about his political allegiances,” the Wall Street Journal reports.
“The Pennsylvania senator’s moves have been closely watched as Democrats grow more confident about potentially winning back the Senate. Such a scenario would require flipping red seats in states such as North Carolina, Alaska, Ohio and Maine—and keeping an increasingly isolated Fetterman from defecting to the Republicans.”
