U.S. Strikes Iran’s Qeshm Island

November 3, 2026 · 4:58 am ET · Leave a Comment

“The U.S. attacked Iran’s Qeshm Island on Monday, U.S. officials said, in the latest of a series of limited strikes Washington has secretly carried out against the country in recent weeks as President Trump touted the possibility of a diplomatic deal,” the Wall Street Journal reports.

“The assault follows comments by Trump playing down the possibility of a return to war with Iran after Tuesday’s midterm elections. ”

Said Trump: “We had a war with Iran. We won. I don’t know if you even call it a war because we haven’t been doing any fighting for months.”

New York Times: U.S. military strikes Iran’s Qeshm Island in what U.S. officials call a defensive measure.

Same Election. Different Stories.

Election Day brings a flood of political news — and which sources you follow can shape the story you see.

That's why I appreciate what Ground News does. It shows how the same story is covered across the political spectrum — and highlights important stories that one side may be ignoring entirely.

And when the votes are counted and everyone starts debating what they mean, it's a useful way to get a broader view.
