Eric Trump Says David Duke Deserves ‘a Bullet’

Eric Trump told KHOW Denver that former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke deserves “a bullet.”

Said Trump: “Ross, it’s disgusting and by the way, if I said exactly what you said, I’d get killed for it but I think I’ll say it anyway. The guy does deserve a bullet. I mean, these aren’t good people. These are horrible people.”

He added: “In fact, I commend my father. My father’s the first Republican who’s gone out and said, ‘Listen, what’s happened to the African-American community is horrible and I’m going to take care of it.'”

A new robocall from former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke:

“We’re losing our country. Look at the Super Bowl salute to the Black Panther cop killers. It’s time to stand up and vote for Donald Trump for president and vote for me, David Duke for the U.S. Senate.”

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports the Republican Party of Louisiana “deferred voting on new rules Saturday that would make it more difficult for David Duke and other convicted felons to run as Republicans in elections held after November.”

David Duke Puts Trump on Defensive

“Donald Trump’s campaign is dismissing questions about the white supremacist David Duke, after the former Ku Klux Klan leader said on his radio program that the Republican presidential nominee left open the possibility of supporting his Senate campaign,” the New York Times reports.

“Mr. Duke said on Monday that Mr. Trump did ‘as much as he could’ in a weekend interview to suggest that he could back Mr. Duke, the white nationalist, who is seeking a Louisiana Senate seat.”

“Former Ku Klux Klan wizard David Duke planned to emerge from a 17-year political hiatus to qualify for the U.S. Senate race in a state already roiling with racial tension,” USA Today reports.

“Duke, a Republican who served one term in the Louisiana House, hasn’t run for office since 1999. He is running to fill the seat that will be vacated by Republican Sen. David Vitter.”

Trump Gets Backing of David Duke

Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke praised Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, calling him “the best of the lot” who has said “some really great things recently,” TPM reports.

Said Duke: “I praise the fact that he’s come out on the immigration issue. I’m beginning to get the idea that he’s a good salesman. That he’s an entrepreneur and he has a good sense of what people want to hear what they want to buy.”

David Duke May Challenge Steve Scalise

Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke says he might run for office against Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), BuzzFeed reports.

Scalise faced questions earlier this month about a 2003 appearance he made before a white supremacist group founded by Duke and called the appearance “a mistake I regret.”

Said Duke: “Steve Scalise, let me tell you something, this is the way I view it now: I mean this guy is a sellout. I mean he’s a sellout. He’s not David. He used to say that he was David Duke of course without the baggage, whatever that means… I might have to run against Steve Scalise because you know, I really might. I mean, I’m definitely going to consider it because its so disgusting to me to see…he got elected on false pretenses.”

David Duke Threatens to Expose Other Politicians

David Duke told Fusion that it was unfair Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) was “singled out” for speaking to Duke’white supremacist organization in May 2002, the New Orleans Times Picayune reports.

Duke said that “politicians, both Democrats and Republicans, have attended everything from conferences he’s organized to his children’s birthday parties. To say nothing of Republicans, Duke estimates that he has met with Democratic lawmakers a good 50 times. He threatened to release a list with names of Republicans and Democrats who’ve been tied to him in one way or another.”

Said Duke: “If Scalise is going to be crucified — if Republicans want to throw Steve Scalise to the woods, then a lot of them better be looking over their shoulders.”
