Rendell Calls Warren a Hypocrite

Former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell writes in the Washington Post:

“Warren didn’t seem to have any trouble taking our money in 2018, but suddenly we were power brokers and influence peddlers in 2019. The year before, we were wonderful. I co-chaired one of the events for the senator and received a glowing, handwritten thank-you letter from her for my hard work.”

“It seemed odd to some of us who gave her money that Warren was experiencing an epiphany less than 12 months later. It’s one thing to fashion a campaign that relies on grass-roots fundraising, but it’s another to go out of your way to characterize as power-brokers and influence-peddlers the very people whose support you have previously courted.”

Rendell Says Clinton Making Mistake Attacking Comey

Former DNC Chairman Ed Rendell told WPHT that Hillary Clinton’s campaign was making a mistake by attacking FBI director James Comey over how he handled recent developments into the investigation of Clinton’s private email server.

Said Rendell: “I think that’s, I wouldn’t do that. Again, you know, I’m not running the campaign by any means, but I wouldn’t do that.”

Former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell (D) slammed House Republicans who voted to cut funding for Amtrak a few hours after a deadly train accident in Philadelphia, TPM reports.

Said Rendell: “Here, less than 12 hours after seven people died, these SOBs, and that’s all I can call them, these SOBs didn’t even have the decency to table the vote.”

Rendell Mocks Christie’s Love of Cowboys

Former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell (D) said Gov. Chris Christie’s (R) unapologetic love for the Dallas Cowboys is “pathetic,” adding that it’s rooted in a “basic inferiority complex,” CNN reports.

Said Rendell: “If you are a Jerseyite or a Pennsylvanian and you’re rooting for the Cowboys, it means you’re not secure in yourself and you wanted to root for a team that was a team in your youth that was a constant winner.”

He added: “How can a Jersey guy be a Cowboys fan? It’s pathetic.”
