Washington Post: “For a while, Trump considered Pirro for a Washington job, interviewing her for a top Justice Department position under Jeff Sessions — a job she lobbied hard to get, according to a senior administration official. But Sessions blocked the appointment, the official said, after which Pirro attacked Sessions on her show for recusing himself from the Russia investigation.”

Fox News host Jeanine Pirro said that she believes various forces in Washington have conspired to “frame” President Trump and bog down his administration with scandal and controversy, The Hill reports.

Said Pirro: “Nobody is looking at the corruption. It’s all one-sided, the corruption on the part of the Democrats. This president was framed. It’s that simple.”

“Jeanine Pirro has a top-rated Fox News show and a forthcoming book — Lies, Leakers, and Liberals — but she still wants to be President Trump’s attorney general,” Politico reports.

“A former prosecutor and judge, Pirro has repeatedly told Trump’s aides and advisers over the past 18 months that she’s interested in taking over as the nation’s top law enforcement official… Trump has dangled the possibility of giving her a top appointment.”
