A new CNN poll in Nebraska’s 2nd congressional district — the so-called “blue dot” encompassing Omaha — finds Kamala Harris with a double-digit lead over Donald Trump, 53% to 42%.
“Former President Donald Trump singled out Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) on Monday, asking whether any Republican wanted to challenge the three-term incumbent for his Omaha-area House seat next year,” The Hill reports.
A new Greenberg Quinlin Rosner (D) poll in Nebraska’s second congressional district finds Joe Biden leading Donald Trump in the presidential race, 51% to 44%.
In the congressional race, challenger Kara Eastman (D) just beats out Rep. Don Bacon (R) 50% to 49%.
“Kara Eastman (D) — who tried to blaze a new path for Nebraska Democrats but ultimately fell 2 percentage points short on Nov. 6 — announced that she will seek a rematch against Republican Rep. Don Bacon in the Omaha-based 2nd Congressional District,” the Omaha World Herald reports.
“Bacon noted that he has not yet been sworn in to his second term and questioned Eastman’s early announcement.”
