House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said that Congress should subpoena special counsel Robert Mueller if necessary to get him to testify, The Hill reports.
Said Hoyer: “I think he ought to testify. He may want a subpoena, for all I know. He indicated that his report speaks for itself. Very frankly… questioning is an important fact-finding pursuit.”
House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) recently sat down with Levi Tillemann (D), who is running for Congress in Colorado. Tillemann was pushing Hoyer to get the party to stay neutral in the primary. Hoyer, meanwhile, was trying to push Tillemann out of the primary.
Unknown to Hoyer, Tillemann recorded the meeting and The Intercept published their conversation.
“Mr. President, you’re on your own.”
