“QAnon shaman” Jacob Chansley, one of the most notorious figures of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, was sentenced Wednesday to three years and five months in prison for his role in the invasion of the halls of Congress by a horde of Trump supporters. CNBC reports.

“A national leader of the Proud Boys, a far-right group with a history of violence, asked a judge on Monday to release him from the D.C. jail and place him on home confinement, citing what he described as inhumane conditions in the facility,” the Washington Post reports.

Steve Bannon is expected to self-surrender on Monday after being indicted on contempt of Congress charges and will appear in court later that afternoon, CNN reports.

NBC News: “Domestic extremists continue to exploit false narratives to promote violence online, calling for attacks on members of Congress and public health and school officials, even as they share information about how to build bombs, according to a new intelligence bulletin by the Department of Homeland Security that paints a picture of persistent danger.”

A New Jersey man who punched a police officer during the January 6 Capitol riot was sentenced to 41 months in prison on Wednesday, CNN reports.

There are roughly 200 more police assault cases from the January 6 riot.

“Britain’s Prince Harry said he warned the chief executive of Twitter ahead of the Jan. 6 Capitol riots that the social media site was being used to stage political unrest in the U.S. capital,” the AP reports.

Said Harry: “Jack and I were emailing each other prior to January 6 where I warned him that his platform was allowing a coup to be staged. That email was sent the day before and then it happened and I haven’t heard from him since.”

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said that people who spread misinformation on Covid-19 vaccines are “criminals” and have cost “millions of lives,” CNBC reports.

“The Justice Department is asking for the so-called QAnon Shaman, who wore a headdress and posed shirtless on the Senate floor during the siege of the US Capitol, to be sentenced to a prison term of more than four years, the longest incarceration prosecutors have asked for any guilty January 6 defendant so far,” CNN reports.

Federal authorities on Saturday searched the home of James O’Keefe, the founder of the conservative group Project Veritas, the New York Times reports.

“The Justice Department searched two locations associated with the conservative group Project Veritas as part of an investigation into how a diary stolen from President Biden’s daughter, Ashley, came to be publicly disclosed a week and a half before the 2020 presidential election,” the New York Times reports.

“Federal agents in New York conducted the court-ordered searches on Thursday — one in New York City and one in suburban Westchester County — at places linked to people who had worked with the group and its leader, James O’Keefe.”

“The investigation is being handled by FBI agents and federal prosecutors in Manhattan who work on public corruption matters.”

Jenna Ryan, who tweeted that she’s “definitely not going to jail” after she stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, was sentenced to 60 days in prison on Thursday, the HuffPost reports.

“Rudy Giuliani is seeking to prevent prosecutors from seeing just three items out of the more than 2,000 items contained on electronic devices seized from him as part of a criminal probe,” CNBC reports.

“The items were contained on seven of the 16 devices seized under search warrants executed at Giuliani’s Manhattan apartment and office in April.”

“Tom Barrack’s ex-assistant, who complained that wearing an ankle bracelet interfered with his surfing and tennis, lost his legal bid to remove the GPS tracking device while he awaits trial with his former boss on charges of acting as unregistered foreign agents,” Bloomberg reports.
