New Pennsylvania District Tilts Democratic

The Cook Political Report moves Pennsylvania’s 17th congressional district from Toss Up to Leans Democrat just after a new poll shows Rep. Conor Lamb (D-PA) leading Rep. Keith Rothfus (R-PA) by double-digits in the newly-drawn district.

“The combination of dramatically better district lines for Democrats, the candidate resume contrast and an anti-Trump national mood give Lamb the clear advantage. Rothfus becomes only the second GOP incumbent to join the Lean Democratic column.”
