When visiting Normandy — as my family did several years ago — it’s immediately apparent how terrifying it must have been for Americans landing on those beaches to join the fight against Nazism. It’s almost impossible to imagine.
The bravery of those soldiers must never be forgotten. Our world continues to benefit from their service and sacrifice.
