McConnell Breaks with Trump on Targeting Cultural Sites

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell broke with President Trump by saying it would not be appropriate to target Iranian cultural sites if hostilities escalate, The Hill reports.

Said McConnell: “That is not appropriate.”

In an Oval Office press availability, Trump appeared to back off of his earlier threat to target Iranian cultural sites: “If that is the law is, I like to obey the law.”
